VOLUME 1

Living in a militaristic world structured around the twelve astrological signs isn’t easy for Valera Lairus, a fourteen-year-old Leonian with a lack-luster birth chart. Valera had the untimely misfortune of being born just after the Sun had passed from the Cancer constellation into Leo, making Valera a “cusper”. While still able to wield the astral energies of the constellations, cuspers rarely compare to “centrals”, those born in the center of their sign, and especially not to demigods. Regardless, Valera’s dream is to become the Leonian member of the Airo Flame 7 (AF7), an elite group of the best astral wielders the Flaire Alliance has to offer. This dream is fueled by her demigod hero, the current Leonian AF7 member, who goes by the moniker The Lioness of Leo. To follow in her footsteps, Valera must first be accepted into Flaire’s Astral Arts Academy, a military school that teaches students how to wield fire or air astral arts.
